Frequently asked questions
How do I get started?
Download RunRookie, complete the short onboarding flow, and start Week 1, Day 1 of the Couch to 5K program. The first workouts are free.
Why isn't my run tracking my route?
Make sure location permissions are enabled for RunRookie in your device settings. For the most reliable tracking while your screen is locked, grant the "Allow all the time" / background location permission when prompted. If GPS signal is weak, try running in an open area, or use Indoor mode for treadmill workouts.
How do subscriptions work?
The first few workouts of the Couch to 5K program are free. Continuing the program, including the Bridge to 10K graduate program, requires a subscription managed through the App Store or Google Play. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your store account settings.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Open Settings in the app and use the restore purchases option while signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account used to subscribe.
Can I export my run history?
Yes. From the run history or run detail screens, you can export a single run as a GPX file or your full run log as a CSV file using your device's share sheet.
Does RunRookie sync with Apple Health or Health Connect?
Yes, if you enable it in Settings. Completed workouts are written to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) so they show up alongside your other health data.
